Note about last Iron Man art: I saw the movie again and realized I screwed up the Tony's arc reactor, so I've pulled the art and am working on fixing it.

Thanks!

June 10, 2008

I just uploaded a new Iron Man pic, The Night (after the day) That Tony Fell, and can be found on the 'Other' page. Like the last image, the pairing is Stark/Rhodes.

enjoy:)

Iron Man has taken up residence in my brain (which sounds a lot more painful than it actually is <g>), and like all of my fannish obsessions, the result is a new pic. The title is: Three Hours Out of Kabul and can be found on the 'Other' page. The pairing is Stark/Rhodes, but I'll probably end up doing other pairs (like Iron Man/Captain America).

enjoy:)

March 28 , 2008

Wow. This is the first time I've posted two new pieces of art in the same month in 3 years. I guess I should thank Jericho for the inspiration:) Tonight's post is about as plotless as I get; the title, Why They Fought is taken from the 22nd episode of the first season -- hopefully it'll be self-explanatory.

enjoy:)

So, last year I fell in love with a little show called Jericho. I was so smitten, I even made a pact with myself that if Jericho got another season, I would finally get an online journal so I could help promote it. But, like all of my recent fannish obsessions, my tuning in was the kiss of death for the program:(( [I guess that's why fanland exists -- to make up for a show's cancellation, among other things.] So tonight's upload is for Jericho. The pairing is Jake/Hawkins and is called, 'When Push Came to Shove.'

enjoy:)

Happy New Year, folks:) Tonight's post is in (dubious) honor for the season premiere of Psych. Actually, I don't think it's the season premier, but shows have such wacky schedules these days with these freaking long hiatus (es?), that it might as well be the season premier...

But I digress:) The new art up is Shawn/Gus; the title is: Shawn Spencer's Version of Pitching Woo.

enjoy:)

October 16, 2007

In preparation for this year's Eye 2 Idea calendar, I realized I never provided a link to the main page other than the notice from a few years ago. I'm not sure why -- I must have been a little spacey or something:) In any case, I've added the link which can be found on the Stories page and here.

:D

This is a very late post to announce an upload from September. I took part in the Heroes BigBoom challenge (run by Technosage and Linaerys). I got to do art for a really wonderful writer, Brighteyed_Jill. The story, Love's the Burning Boy, is a great read and can be found here. My art, that illustrates a scene about halfway through, can be found here. Apologies to B_J and the BigBoom mods for the lateness of this update notice!

Have fun,

Because it seems impossible, these days, to finish anything new, I'm posting a revised Mag7 pic, Canyon. I was asked to contribute to the recent Eastern Media Con and since I didn't have time to get together a new piece, the con givers were nice enough to allow me to send something older. And because the piece seemed impossibly dated, I redid it and sent it on (and thanks to whoever purchased it!). So, you can find the reworked Canyon here.

In other fannish not-news, I'm still treading the Miracles waters along with Torchwood, Heroes and Psych. And speaking of Psych, my next update will probably a Shawn/Gus pic I've been working on for about a zillion years. After that I'm hoping to finally sit down to watch the super-duper extendo version of Flyboys that has been waiting patiently on my shelf for the last two weeks.

enjoy,
x.

First business: I'm going to try relaxing my linking policy (and thanks much for being so great about honoring my admittedly strict linkage requests), so if you want, you're welcome to link to my posts, but please, do not link to my site in official forums, etc. and, also link to the main page (www.tenebris.org/x__art/index.html) -- I need folks to go through the warnings page.

Second business: Today's post is for the Smallville fandom. The piece was done for this year's Escapade and is titled, "Eleven Hundred Feet Above Wichita." The art is Clark/Lex and can be found here.

enjoy,
x.

March 25 , 2007

Just finished Miracles the other night (Killa's pimping at Escapade was very effective), and I now I've got a lot of Paul/Alva-ness floating around in my head. This image, Seven a.m., is the result:) Next up, Smallville, and then, hopefully, Torchwood.

enjoy:)

February 29, 2007

This next update is for the Heroes fandom (Nathan/Peter). I'm fascinated with the whole flying thing, hence this image. The title is, 'Tethered,' and can be found here.

enjoy:)

February 27, 2007

I spent this last weekend in lovely California with the rest of the fab Escapade attendees, and, like always, my fannish batteries were totally recharged. Last time I went, two years ago, I fell in love with Stargate; this time it was Torchwood and Miracles (I've already ordered the Miracles dvd <g>), so expect something from those shows.

I managed to get a couple pieces done for the art show -- I'll be posting the Heroes pic this week and the Smallville in a month or so.

Also, I had been toying with the idea of re-uploading the art I've taken down, but I just couldn't decide. My mind was made up after talking with some very nice HP folks at the Con, so today I uploaded the art from HP (Harry/Snape) and the three images from Fast and the Furious (Brian/Dom). They can both be found on the Other page. I guess I should ask again not to take any of the art, remove my sig and claim it as your own; chop it up into smaller images and claim it as your own; or pretty much just take it and claim it as your own. It's just not nice:)

Thanks and enjoy, x.

PSA for all you artists/creative people out there (From Shoshanna, Escapade Art Coordinator Extrodinaire):

Fans like to look at things. And if you have things fans like to look at, the Escapade art show wants them! Escapade is the longest-running slash con in the world (now in its seventeenth year), and Escapade's world-famous art show is in search of fannish things to display!

The Escapade art show is your place to display and sell (or not, if you prefer) your objets d'fandom: artwork, crafts, tie-in items, t-shirts -- whatever it is, we want it, and the con members want to admire it! (Sometimes they drool, but we keep them tidy.) We accept both new items and resales from your collection, both originals and prints, both slashy and non-slashy (though note that slashy sells better, since Escapade is a slash con); basically, we're h0rs for your fannish stuff, okay? You don't even need to be at the con to put things in the art show; you can mail them in or send them with a friend who's coming. You give us your stuff, we do all the work of displaying and selling it, and you go home with fame and fortune! Or you can designate one or more of your pieces to be sold for the benefit of the convention charity, Good Hearted People/JobSmart. It's that simple. Almost.

If you'd like more information, or you're interested in displaying or selling things in the Escapade art show, please drop me a note at shoshanna AT thisland.ca. There's a small bit of paperwork, which I can send you to fill out in advance, and plus I like to know in advance who and what to expect. (But you are also welcome to just show up with stuff at the last minute; we won't turn you away.)

Lastly -- see up there where I said "we do all the work"? Whether or not you have art (or art-ish) things to show or sell, please consider volunteering for the equally world-famous Escapade art show staff! Volunteering at a con is a great way to meet people and get involved, and the art show is a great place to work. Some filing, shorthand not necessary, good legs a plus. Write me!

(Feel free to share this announcement with others who should see it.)

And now for something completely different: fanfiction by yours truly. The stories I'm posting tonight were written over two years ago, forgotten about, then unshelved a few months ago when I remembered them. I've only written for four shows, all having little or no fan-base. Most of my stories have been written for The Band of Brothers movie-ette. They've been edited and betaed, but I'm not naming names because I've gone back in and rewritten a bunch and I don't want anyone else to be blamed for my mistakes. None of my stories will have warnings; much like my fanart, I can't bring myself to do that. The only thing I can say is that I never, ever will kill off a main character.

What else? Oh, yeah. The files are in PDF form because the designer in me can't bring myself to post them in HTML -- sorry in advance for any hassle. Feel free to print out the stories, but please don't distribute them elsewhere (I'm grinning to myself at the idea that anyone would want to, but there you are.)

The first story is Speirs/Lipton, very short, and the first of a series (Leaving Rechamps - pdf). The second post is another series based on the Bystander idea (some of you know how much I love that viewpoint<g>) and is titled, Other Voices - pdf.

If anyone wants background or images of the guys, one of my most favorite authors just posted a great BoB synopsis at Crack_van on LJ -- if you need the URL, please let me know.

I suppose there's a lot I'm forgetting to say or do, but since this is my first fiction post, I guess I'll figure out the mistakes as I go along. The stories can be found on my story page (and no, I honestly never thought I'd be posting my own stuff when I made it<g>), here.

enjoy and very happy holidays:)

Holy moly, it's been 364 days since my last upload -- much too long, I think. Today's post is a piece done for Shalott's Blast From the Past Challenge. The info can be found here (http://community.livejournal.com/challenges_past/) -- the gist is I volunteered to provide art as a prize for one of the contestants. Shalott happened to pull her own name out of the hat, so I illustrated the last scene in her wonderful, 'Knocking Over the Table' (http://intimations.org/fanfic/). Please note that this is the first time I've posted an unfinished pic -- I've been having arm/hand problems and was unable to finish the art in time. The art, On the Farm, can be found here.

enjoy:)

December 11, 2005

Happy New Year, folks. This update is mostly just a reuploading of old pieces that I lost track of. The reuploads are in the SG:1 section (Field Test no. 1) and in the TPM section (The Unraveling).

The one new piece of art is for the Stargate fandom -- this is oldish, done for the 2005 Escapade Con Art Show. I held on to it for a while to give the buyer time to enjoy it on her own. The art, titled, The Story Had a Happy Ending, at Least, and can be found here.

thanks. x:)
